So sad. This poor girl…I wish she’d just go back to living life as a normal fourteen year old. It’s not that she’s not talented; she just doesn’t have it. You can clearly tell she was coached against the things most criticized on the original version (such as an over-pronounced Frah-day, rather than the widely-teased-about “Frai-day”), and that they tried to showcase her talent as much as they could with the song they were given. Let’s be honest, I don’t think anyone can sound good singing “Friday”. It shows no range and is pretty much rapped monotone, holding no note long enough to show off any ability. But, still, you have to admire how hard she is trying and how she won’t give up. But, if I were her, I’d smile at “my moment” in the spotlight, then go back to being a normal kid.
